Dues:
The Dues are $65 for the first child $55 for the next child(ren). These are non-refundable at any time for any reason.
Rules:
We will not tolerate profanity, un-sportsman like behavior, child abuse of any kind (verbal or physical), bickering, yelling, or any other behavior that is inappropriate around the kids. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in removal from the club. YYW reserves the right to refuse to allow person or persons on the team for the above reasons or any other reason they deem appropriate for the sake of the club and the kids.
Tournaments:
There are tournaments virtually every weekend all over the state– Novice & Open. They are not mandatory, but we encourage you to because it will help them grasp the concepts and overall enhance their skills. You may go to any tournament you want. However, generally speaking the club will usually go to 2 different ones – Open & Novice. We will let you know on Monday where the tournament is and how much it cost etc. The entry fee for the tournament is due NO LATER THAN TUESDAY NIGHT at practice. The tournament fees are usually $12-$15 per tournament. **It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure that their child is on the sign up sheet, pay money, and provide the weight they will be wrestling. If we do not have these things on Tuesday night they will not be signed up for the tournament. Once we enter them into the tournament the money is non-refundable.
It is also the parent’s responsibility to make sure that your child weighs at or below the weight they are entered.. If your child does not make weigh at the tournament they will not let him wrestle. The weigh-ins are usually 6am-7:30am the morning of the tournament. See the weights and divisions below.
At the tournament… Work with the coaches to make sure that your wrestler is at his mat a few matches prior to his match. The wall brackets will indicate which mat and bout/match number they will wrestle. Hopefully we will have a few coaches at the tournament so that they can assist you with all of this.
